Management of Udala FC, have expressed their sympathy for Nightlife impresario, Obi lyiegbu, over the death of his mother, Madam Ezinne Mabel Iyiegbu (Nee Ibe), who died on December 31, 2020, at Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre, Gudu, Abuja, after a brief illness.
The Chief Executive Officer of the club, Chief Philip Chinonso Udala consoled with lyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, as he announced the burial dates for his mother at their Akaeze Oba family home, Oba, Anambra State starting from July 16 -17th, 2021.
According to the burial announcement by the family, the Service of Songs and Christian-Wake will hold at her residence, Aboji village, Oba on July 15, while the funeral service holds at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Oba on July 16, just as reception takes place at Merchants of Light School Field, Oba.
Speaking with our correspondent, the CEO of Udala FC described Madam Iyiegbu as a good mother who always wanted the best for her children and anyone around her.
However, he called on the son, Obi Cubana, to take heart and see it as the will of God for mama to go and rest. “I want to urge my brother to take heart and accept the fact that God giveth and taketh.
“Nobody wants to lose his or her parents even when they are very old, but she has gone and we should all continue to build on her legacy. Everyone of us at Udala FC wish him all the best and pray for mama to rest in peace.”
