“The Ogun State Government has a very good relationship with NSCDC and we appreciate the role it plays in our security architecture, its cooperation has been invaluable. Be rest assured that we will continue to support the development of your men and officers, as they go about the discharge of their duties,” the governor said.

Earlier in his remarks, Brig. Gen. Obene (rtd) said the essence of the visit to the state was to inspect the existing academy where cadet officers are trained and introduce commandant staff college studies, basically for intermediate officers from the rank of captains and majors.

Obene appreciated the state government for its giant stride on security service delivery, advising the government to increase its budget for security agencies in the state to enable them to perform optimally.
