Queen Mowah Hosts ‘Talk Of The Town’ Lady Captain’s Inaugural Tourney

The Ibori Golf and Country Club (IGCC) Lady Captain, Queen Chukwunedum Mowah has taken the organization of Lady Captain’s Inaugural Tournament in Nigeria to another height as she sets an unprecedented record at her Inaugural on Saturday.

About two hundred golfers including one hundred and sixty-four golfers that registered took part at the tournament held at IGCC golf course, Asaba, Delta State from June 17th – 18th, 2022.

Queen Mowah, founder of Chinedum Asanobi Foundation and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Quinbro Ventures indeed confirmed her Queenship status as she hosted golfers to sumptuous golfing experience.

The event has been regarded as talk of the town and best ever lady captain’s inaugural tournament to have been hosted in the annals of ladies division in Nigeria.

By this affirmation, Queen Mowah has put a challenge to other lady captains in the country to step up when organising golf tournament in their respective golf clubs across Nigeria, just as their experience in Asaba will forever linger in their minds.

Newsnigeriaonline.com.ng chats with Princess Habiibah Oyeghe Oyarekhua, former PRO and current Head Media of Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN), she confirmed that it was a glorious event, as they had too much food to eat and enough drinks at their disposal.

Princess Oyarekhua, the former Lady Captain, Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS) said: “The theme of the tournament is Milk and honey all the way.

“Queen gave accommodation to all the ladies, four stop overs on the course for refreshments, it was something else. Asaba was agog.

“The package in the goody bags was talk of the town. Golfers were begging to play as 164 registered played with over 20 unregistered players jostling for slots to play at the tournament.”
