All hostilities at the Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo South-West Junior Tennis Masters will come to an end today at the Ekiti State Tennis Courts, Trade Fair Complex, Ado Ekiti.

In today’s finals, Mubarak Abdulganeey of Oyo State has another scores to settle in the U-14 boys final against Oluwaseun Ogunsakin from Ekiti at the tennis court.

While, the U-16 girls category will be a straight battle between Esther Oni and Faith Adeusi, both from Ekiti to determine the real winner in the category.

However, in the final of the U-16 boys cadre decided on Friday, Ogunsakin defeated Mubarak in two straight sets of 7/6, 6/3 to be crowned champion, a situation that did not augur well with Oyo State player who has vowed to seek revenge in the U-14 category final today.

Also, in the girls U-14 final played, Success Ogunjobi of Ekiti State was successful by beating Peace Agbeje from Ondo State in another two straight sets of 6/3, 6/1, thus emerged winner in the category.

It could be recalled that Ogunsakin and Mubarak qualified for both U-14 and U-16 boys category respectively, having showed the quality they possessed to reach the two finals, despite all other opponents antics to eliminate them.

Meanwhile, the closing ceremony is expected to witness sports dignitaries from the state and beyond to watch the tennis actions sponsored by the Minister of Trades and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo in memory of his father, Major General Adeyinka Adebayo.
