
The Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS) Captain, Joseph Idahosa has revealed that his administration priority is to put in their best, ensure that the course is maintained at all times and improved on what they met on ground.
Joezaza as fondly called stated this in chats with Newsnigeriaonline.com.ng after the successful hosting of the BCGS Captain’s Inaugural Golf Tournament 2023 held recently in Benin-City, Edo State.
The elated captain who could not hide his joy after the event that featured over 150 golfers across the country thanked Almighty God for fair weather and safety for all golfers that teed-off at the two days tournament.
Joezaza continued: “I want to thank our members and guests across board that came out in their numbers to play and support the inaugural tournament. With the feed back I can say it was a huge success.
“My special thanks to my friends and all our sponsors who supported the tournament in cash and kind. I am extremely grateful to them all.
“Also, I want to thank all staffs of BCGS who worked tiredlessly to ensure we had a good course to play and nice ambience to entertain members, guest and my friends.
“Our priority is to put in our best and ensure that the course is maintained at all times and improved on what we met.
“We are appealing to our members, avid golfers, sponsors and friends for their continuous support so we can continue to make Benin Club Golf Section the home of golf in Nigeria as we are being known for.”
Newsnigeriaonline.com.ng recalls that the inaugural tournament was organised by the Captain, Idahosa in conjunction with the BCGS Executive Committee.
Also, it featured golfers from Ikoyi Golf Club; Ikeja Golf Club, Lagos State; IBB Golf and Country Club, Abuja; Ibori Golf and Country Club (IGCC), Asaba; Sapele Athletic Club Golf Section, Sapele Town; Ogunu Golf Resort, Warri, Delta State; UBTH Golf Club and many others.
Meanwhile, at the end of the energy sapping tournament, the duo of Dr. Omo Izedonmwen and Ehis Igbinadolor emerged victorious in the men’s and ladies category respectively.
