Onpetu Of Ijeru Kingdom Commiserates With Victims’ Families, Oyo Govt, Olubadan Of Ibadan Over Explosion


His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran, Onpetu of Ijeru Kingdom has commiserated with Oyo State Government and the entire people of the state over the explosion that rocked the City of Ibadan on Tuesday.

Oba Oyediran, Lagbami Osekun III stated this in a statement from the Onpetu’s Palace in Ogbomoso South Local Government Area, and made available to newsmen on Thursday.

The Monarch in the statement prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and that God should grant the affected families fortitude in their time of grief.

Oba Oyediran who was moved by the Tuesday night explosion whereby people lost their lives and properties, also condoled with the State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, and Olubadan of Ibadan, on this tragedy, and prayed God to grant quick recovery and divine healings to those injured in the explosion.

The Monarch noted: “My prayers are with the Governor, His Excellency, Governor Oluseyi Makinde, the good people of the state, and residents of Ibadan, that God will put an end to such occurrence in our dear state.

“I pray that as you intensify search and rescue efforts, I extend my heartfelt regrets to all who have suffered injuries, and those who lost their lives and property during the Tuesday night explosion.

“May God grant the souls of the departed peaceful rest in the bossom of the Lord and grant the families the fortitude to bear the loss in this time of grief.”
