Mrs. Joy Omorogiuwa displayed a sterling performance to emerge winner at the Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS) Ladies Monday Outing.
The weekly golf event held at the club golf course, Benin City, Edo State was sponsored by BCGS Secretary, Hon. Osazuwa Ehiorobo popularly known as OZ.
Omorogiuwa after a pulsating nine holes golfing action recorded a net score of 34 to claim the top spot while Lady Vice Captain, Mrs. Betty Oriakhi settled for second place with 35 net.
In a related development, Dame Comfort Edeki placed third with distant 40 net just as former Lady Captain, Princess Habiibah Oyeghe Oyarekhua picked the fourth position award with 41 net.
Similarly, Julius Nwachukwu popularly called Amadioha wrote his name in gold as he clinched the men’s category with 35 net after beat A. Uzamere on count-back. Former Captain, Ignatius Aigbokhaode limped to the third spot with 39 net.
However, power changed hand in the ladies veteran as O. A. Dawodu played 36 net to win the category ahead of Omosefe Osaghae whose 39 net pegged her to second spot.
In the men’s veteran, Chief Afam Obanor, the Grand Caddy victory could not be contested as he played 33 net while R. Osahon sealed the second spot with an impressive 35 net.
Meanwhile, various prizes were presented to all those that excelled at the golf outing just as ladies in their usual oneness and togetherness presented gift to the sponsor in appreciation of his undiluted passion for lady division.
