The Management of Ogun State Sports Council has felicitated with the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Tokunbo Talabi on the occasion of his birthday celebration held today.
The management team led by Director of Sports, Mrs Folakemi Iyabode Rotimi visited the SSG in his office, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 thus presented a surprised birthday package to the celebrant.
Bola Giwa, Head of Public Relations/Information Unit of the sports council in a statement quoted that the sports director at the birthday bash revealed that birthday by tradition was a period for celebration and merriment with friends and family.
She further stated that more importantly, it should be a time for sober reflection and glorifying God. “For holding one’s hand through the journey thus far, for His guidance through the tough terrain of growth from adolescence to adulthood, and indeed for unexpected breakthrough when everything seems to be running haywire and gloomy.”
Mrs Rotimi, however on behalf of all the sports council staff prayed for the birthday man, as he rejoiced and reflected on this auspicious new day beginning a new year of his life,
She prayed that God should continue to navigate him towards attaining his journey here on earth, while asking God to lead him to an expected end and bless him with every reasons to always glorify God at all times.
She joyously added: “I celebrate you today and wish you very many more celebrations. Happy birthday our beloved SSG. God Almighty shall continue to guide your steps to the right directions.”
