National Association of Women In Sports (NAWIS), Ogun State chapter has elected new executives that will pilot the affairs of the association.
The elections into various positions held at Alake Sports Center, Abeokuta on September 15th, 2021 hereby had former Nigeria international, Mrs Falilat Ogunkoya as the Chairperson.
Others executive members elected were Mrs Olasupo Abimbola (Matro) as Vice Chairperson; Ms. Damilola Akintemi as Secretary; Mrs. Olawunmi Ojomo as Treasurer. Financial Secretary went to Mrs. Titi Soetan, while Mrs Rachel Oguntana emerged as the Welfare Officer:
Ms. Bola Giwa was elected as the Public Relations Officer, just as Ex. Officio was Mrs Folakemi Iyabode Rotimi, Director of Sports, Ogun State Sports Council.
The Chairperson in her address implored everyone to show more enthusiasm towards the development of the association in order to improve the outlook of sports in the country.
Similarly, Mrs Abimbola also advised the congress not to be eager for instant gratification, but work towards the betterment of sports in the nation.
