Ogun LG Elections: NNPP Sets The Pace, Holds Primaries

Ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Elections billed for July 24th, 2021, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ogun State Chapter has concluded the primary election to produce candidates for the council elections.

State Chairman of the party, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday reiterated the commitment to free and fair elections by the umpire, while welcoming OGSIEC Commissioners and DSS Officials who came in their official capacity to observe the program.

“NNPP is ready to take over reigns of governance from APC starting from these local government elections. You are here today taking the mandate of this party to start the journey of success. We’re ready to give APC the run for their money.

“However, it’s very obvious that New Nigeria People’s Party is the choice of Ogun people for the forthcoming council elections,” he said.

In response to comrade Oginni’s remark, Mr Tunji Akoni, the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) Commissioner who represented the Chairman reassured everyone present that the coming election shall be free, fair and credible. “Our doors are always open to all of you to come in anytime, any day.”
