NUJ NEC: Gov. Oborevwori Tasks Ikeowgu To See His Appointment As A Call To National Service


The immediate past Delta State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Michael Ikeogwu has been urged to see his appointment as a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Union as a call to national service.

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori expressed this in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon in Asaba, adding that it requires him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new office, even as he continues to be a committed ambassador of the state. recalls that Ikeogwu’s appointment as National Ex-Officio of the Union was contained in a letter signed by the National Secretary, Comrade Shuaibu Usman Leman, on Friday, October 20th, 2023.

The elated governor Oborevwori described Ikeogwu’s appointment as well-deserved, considering his outstanding contribution to the journalism profession in Delta State and Nigeria.

He hereby commended the NUJ President, Comrade Chris Isiguz for finding Ikeogwu, an illustrious son of Delta, worthy of the appointment.
