Ogun IPAC Denies Existence Of LADO Group In PDP, Backs OGSIEC

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ogun State chapter has disclosed that Ladi Adebutu (LADO) group in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was not recognised by the council in strict compliance with the existing court ruling.

Comrade Arabambi Abayomi, the state IPAC Chairman stated this during a media briefing held in Abeokuta recently that as a responsible and law abiding political body, and to put the record straight to situate things in the right perspective, IPAC has never one day recognized the group in PDP.

Arabambi in his address stated: “It is clearly stated openly, loudly and very emphatically that the internal crisis in Ogun PDP is distinctly far removed from the Constitutional dispute the IPAC 22 currently have with OGSIEC.

“It is quite important to distinguish between the issues of contention the IPAC 22 and the splinter LADO group in Ogun PDP have with OGSIEC.

“The LADO group is constitutionally rendered impotent and doesn’t have the locus standi to be seen as a political party. This is against the case of the IPAC 22 that are contesting their right to continuous existence being hindered by the INEC’s refusal to obey a declaratory judgement of the Court of Appeal on its Order to re-instate them.

“This is far removed from the LADO group that has no legal premises, but want to profile their dead political body with the name of IPAC.

“This LADO group is a group that should be ignored without a response, but for the sake of the part of the public their empty and useless grandstanding can misinform.”

Furthermore, he emphasised: “You can imagine how misleading this dead group can be. The lying and illegal LADO group’s calls for the sack of OGSIEC, this is a floating illegal group that is not recognised by any extant law.

“LADO group is only recognised by Uche Secondus, the currently redundant National Chairman of PDP for its meal ticket value.

“In Ogun State, the recognised and legally confirmed PDP has been functioning so well and even forms for the candidates for the forthcoming Local Government Elections for both the seats of Chairmen and Councillors have been handed over to the authentic Ogun State PDP.

“The rag tag crowd of political jobbers answering to LADO group are sadly very pathetic losers. The crucial point being made is that the public should from here on begin to ignore the totally baseless and very untenable political claims from the politically dead and buried group.

“So, there can be no working relationship or any form of association with an illegal body with Ogun IPAC.

“I will like to put it on record that the call by the IPAC 22 for the sack of OGSIEC chairman is sad and unfortunate because though we sympathize with them over the current political situation they found themselves.

“The whole problem should be squarely blamed on the INEC Abuja leadership that has failed in their constitutional duties and responsibilities to obey a straight forward declaratory judgement of the Court Of Appeal. This disobedience of court order is an official rascality on the part of INEC.

“Meanwhile, in all of the foregoing, the dead LADO group has no part or legal involvement. For the avoidance of all or any doubt, I repeat here that the LADO’s illegal political crowd they call group has nothing to do with the Ogun State Chapter of IPAC, we don’t recognize them. Again in the same breath, they have no meeting point with the IPAC 22.

“In conclusion, the Ogun State chapter of IPAC here at by this press conference pass a vote of confidence on Barr. Babatunde Osibodu led OGSIEC.

“We categorically state that the call for the dissolution of OGSIEC is highly infantile, baseless, untenable and uncalled for as it is totally off mark and misleading.”
