Ogun Commissioner Lauds MAPOLY Alumni, To Allocate Land For Agriculture Programmes

Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina has applauded the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Alumni Association and the school authority for their roles in the stabilization of the institution.

Dr. Odedina made this commendation when the executive members of the association paid him courtesy visit in his office on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021.

The commissioner expressed delight at the various programmes embarked upon by the alumni to ensure that the institution retained the standard and legacy it was known for.

Furthermore, he posited that the institution is of great importance to the present administration and would not rest on its oars in order to provide the necessary developmental facilities for the institution to produce the best quality of graduates.

However, he assured that part of the 200 hectares of land cleared for Anchor Borrowers’ Programme would be allocated to the association, as well as inputs and free advisory services for cultivation of cassava and maize.

Speaking earlier, the National President of MAPOLY Alumni Association, Pastor Ezekiel Obasanya lauded Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for his prompt action on assumption of office, and in reviving the institution from its state of comatose.

Obasanya pleaded for government’s support in the area of construction of the road leading to the institution, constituting the governing council, appointment of a substantive rector and beefing up security in the school environment

While assuring that the association was ready to harness expertise of their members in the area of agriculture so as to contribute to the food supply and economy of the state.

In attendance were: Mr. Goke Ishola, the National Secretary, Mr. Tunde Odeyemi, CODA member, Mr. Alex Ogunsola, National Secretary, Mr. Olalekan Adeosun, Relations Manager, Mrs. Asisat Adebayo, National Treasurer; Mrs Oluwatoyin Adeyemo and Alhaji Najeem Gbadamosi.
