While speaking on the rationale behind the programme, Hon. Osoba, who also is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Sports noted that it became imperative for him to justify the electioneering confidence reposed on him by people across his constituency.

He said: “We have done a lot of infrastructural project. When I was campaigning, I had a STEP Program which involves School rehabilitation, building, CSR Program where teaching tools will be given to them. Tools for Transparency. Empowerment of Youth in constituency, and Primary healthcare and power generation have achieved all my STEP programmes.

“In March, I empowered 120 people during the lockdown we have been able to do last year and am empowering also in my step program, I always do an annual empowerment.

“We are strategic, we have deep freezer for women to sell drinks and ice block. Grinding machine for women also to put in front of their house and be getting some token, generator for people to be charging phone for customer and other variety of things and also motorcycles for youth in transversing delivery.

“In my first term, I did a lot of project in schools, boreholes and primary health care center and we noticed the borehole we did were not managed properly and I believe if something fine is done in school, we have science teacher and he can check on the solar panel of the borehole, if faulty they will take care of the project.

“And for instance, our student spent 8-10 hours in school that’s between 8am and 4pm, we want our students to be taken clean water and also we have a water treatment for the borehole.”
