Government Facilities: Delta Monarch Assures Of Adequate Safety

The Obi of Owa kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor has expressed commitment towards ensuring the safety of government facilities in his domain.

The Obi gave the assurance at Owa-Oyibu, headquarters of the local, when the Director General of the Teachers Professional Development Centre (TPDC), Dr Anthony Dibashi visited his palace.

Obi Efeizomor said that the existence of government facilities was for development, adding that the TPDC would do same, and foster peace and unity in the area, likening the centre to the National Youth Service Corps. He stressed that it would attract teachers from different areas to the community.

He enjoined the management and staff of the TPDC to cooperatively work with the DG, pointing out that the DG depended on them to achieve success.

The obi commended the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for establishing the TPDC at Owa-Oyibu.

“I thank the governor for planting the Teachers Professional Development Centre here, it is a seed of growth and unity,” he said.

Earlier, the DG of TPDC, Dr Anthony Dibashi noted that the visit was to inform the monarch of the imminent commencement of training programme for teachers at the centre.

He thanked the Obi for his cooperation while disclosing that the first tranche of the training was designed for the primary school heads and other education stakeholders in the state.
