Fmr Lady Captain, Princess Oyarekhua Wins BCGS Ladies Monday Outing

Former Lady Captain, Princess Habiibah Oyeghe Oyarekhua was arguably the best golfer of the day, posted 35 net to win the Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS) Ladies Monday Outing in Edo State.

Princess Oyarekhua, former PRO and current Head Media of Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN) led the ladder chat after beating last week winner, Betty Oriakhi who recorded 36 net.

Mrs. Foluso Oboro with 37 net picked the third spot ahead of fmr. Lady Captain, Suwadetu Mahmud who settled for fourth position with 39 net.

Osazee Iyare had his own share of the award by clinching the men’s category with 33 net, just as the duo of Victor Oriasotie who played 35 net and Gordon Imadiyi with 39 net placed second and third respectively.

In the same vein, Mrs. Omosefe Osaghae won the veteran ladies category after she recorded 38 net thus pushed Professor Josephine Mokwunyei to second spot with 41 net.

The veteran men’s award was clinched by former Captain, Chief Afam Obanor, popularly known as Grand Caddy with 35 net, while Monday Ikhureigbe who played 39 net placed second.

Meanwhile, a total of 45 men’s and ladies teed-off at the Monday golf outing sponsored by fmr. President of Benin Club 1931, Barr. Abiemwense Lawson Ugiagbe and he was represented at the event by his amiable wife, and fmr. Lady Captain, Juliet Ugiagbe.
