The Enugu Sports Club Golf Section is taking shape ahead of the 9th Enugu Ladies Open Golf Championship holding at the golf course from May 11th – 13th, 2023 in the capital City.
The three days championship organized by the Ladies Sub-section led by its Lady Captain, Dr. Obiageli Pat Ndu is being sponsored by Nigerian Breweries, Juhel Nig Ltd, Heliu Estates and many others.
The programme of activities made available to Newsnigeriaonline.com.ng on Sunday stated that the championship will tee-off on Thursday with special category featuring ladies hcp 29 -36 on free style dress code.
Similarly on same is the arrival of ladies from out of town while the cocktail is slated for evening as participants are to be on white top and jeans.
On Friday of the championship, the course will be painted yellow as ladies hcp 1 – 28 golfers wearing yellow on black pants or skirt with matching cap or visor are to tee-off for the Day 1 of their event, just as the hoisting of flags and ceremonial tee-off is by 8am.
The grande finale of the championship on Saturday will serve as Day 2 to determine the overall winner in the ladies hcp 1 – 28 category. The veteran and super veteran ladies will alongside have their playing moments as well.
The ladies are expected to be on tournament blue t-shirt on white pants/skirts for the event.
On the same day, men’s hcp 1 – 28 all categories, including veteran and super veteran men’s will not be left out of the championship as they are to wear the tournament t-shirts on black trousers.
Meanwhile, the presentation of trophies and other prizes will hold immediately after the game while dinner follows thereafter.
