The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Recharge Centre Area Headquarters on Saturday donated food stuffs, clothes, and cash to Eghosa Ophanage Home, Gapiona, Benin City, Edo State.
The area headquarters under True Vine Zone in Edo Province six made the donation in line with the tradition of the RCCG to reach out to as many less privilege persons in the society.
Newsnigeriaonline.com.ng in a chat with Pastor in Charge of the Area (PICA), Pastor Gordon Ekpuyama on the rationale behind the donation, he noted: “It is the tradition of the RCCG to reach out to the less privilege and general public in anything that will benefit them both spiritually and physically.
“It is part of the Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) of RCCG to give whatever that will be of great values to the society like drilling borehole, visitation to prisons and to make them closer to God.
“So, by giving food stuffs, cash for payment of school fee, clothes were done in the spirit of lifting their welfare, because our Lord Jesus Christ said it in the book of Matthew 25 vs. 35 – 40.”
