The Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS) pavilion was full of activities on Sunday as three new members were inducted into the Ladies Division.

The induction ceremony performed at the club pavilion had in attendance the Club Captain, Joseph Idahosa; Lady Captain, Betty Oriakhi; past Captains; past Presidents of Benin Club 1931; members and many others.

While inducting the new members, the lady captain charged them to abide by the rules guiding the game of golf and be good ambassadors of the club wherever they travel to play golf.

The new inductees were Justice Tinuke Akomolafe Wilson, Joan Henshaw and Paula Oghumah, wife of the BCGS Course Officer, Engr. Ben Oghumah. They were presented with their handicap certificates, BCGS Constitution, and Bye-Laws.

Justice Tinuke while speaking on behalf of other inductees said: “I am delighted on behalf of others to have this handicap tonight. Thank you for the honour to be here for us. All I want to say is thank you all.”

In the same vein, club captain Idahosa in his address stated: “On behalf the BCGS Committee, I congratulate the ladies division. Certificates have been given to new members, I urged them to follow rules and to avoid withdrawal of their certificates.

“As for those who played at the ladies monthly medal, I congratulate the winners. Those who didn’t win today should buckle up to win next time.”
