BCGS Inducts Three New Members, Tasks To Be Dilligent

The Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS) has inducted three new members into the golfing family at a colourful ceremony held on Saturday at the club, Benin City, Edo State.

Having passed through the mandatory tutorial and training over the months, the inductees Idoko Donatus Idoko, Ekpei Ukam Ukam and Engr. Andrew Erhauyi Obayagbon were awarded certificates as certified golfers by the Captain, Edward Ikponmwosa Osayande.

The presentation was witnessed by other members to rejoice with the golfers whose handicap commenced from hcp 28 while it is expected to be going downward the more in the course of playing and winning tournaments.

In his admonition, the Vice Captain, Joseph Idahosa who presided over the event on behalf of the Captain tasked the new members to abide and play according to the rules of the game of golf globally.

He urged them to be faithful, obedient and diligent on the course, adding that they should feel free to join any kitty groups of their choice which would help them to grow faster in the game.

In the same vein, Barrister Peace Anunah, former President of Benin Club and Engr. Esosa Ojomo advised the new golfers to see their addition as a welcome development and to ensure that they contribute their quotas towards the development of the club and the game too.

Also, they urged them to follow the rules of the game very well as any deviation from it would affect their performance and reputation in due season.

However, Engr. Obayagbon while speaking on behalf of other inductees expressed gratitude to management of the club for given them the leverage to undergo training and now members of BCGS

He hereby assured that as members, they would uphold the tenets of the game and showcase the club in good light wherever they go to play golf.
