It was another call for celebration as Hon. Osazuwa Ehiorobo won the June edition of Mavericks Kitty Group Monthly Mug/Birthday Kitty with a net score of 76.
The kitty event held at Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS), Benin City, Edo State featured huge turnout of members and it was organised by the group to celebrate members who had their birthdays in the month of June.
They were Chairman of the Mavericks Kitty Group kitty (MKG), Engr Monday Ikhureigbe; Darlington Ogbefun; Omogui Smith Osayande; Hon. John Yakubu; Prof Edokpa Waziri; V. Emuakhagbon; Hodge Ajayi Idahosa and Dr. Peter Osagiede (late).
Hon. OZ (hcp 17) as fondly called beat Felix Agamwonyi (hcp 13) on count-back to win the kitty event for the second time while Chief Afam Obanor (hcp 18) placed third with 78 net.
The most decorated Mavericks Hall of Famer, Gen. Oscar Iyare (rtd) played a gross score of 87 to emerge the best gross winner.
In his victory speech, Hon. OZ disclosed that he won the edition with a sleeping eyes, adding that his opponents set him on high note to raise his game in order to win the event.
He however appreciated the MKG executives and members for sustaining the monthly kitty and for members to keep fit at all times.
Similarly, the MKG Chairman, Elder Ikhureigbe thanked members and guests for coming out in large numbers to rejoice with the celebrants for another year round celebration.
Also, he used the occasion to appreciate members who traveled with the group to the golf tour of Ibadan, noting that it was a wonderful experience that would forever remain in memory of those who made the trip.
He commended members who supported be it financially and otherwise in making the trip a huge success while urging members to be ready for another trip in the next quarter.
