Aviary Association Worldwide Tasks Government On Prompt Payment of Workers Salaries, Arrears

The Aviary Association Worldwide (AAW) has called on Federal and State Governments respectively to pay all civil servants their salaries as at when due and ensure all deductions and arrears are cleared.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the association, Julius Imabeh, made available to newsmen on Saturday.

Imabeh in the statement hereby congratulated the Nigerian workers as they celebrated the International Labour Day on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 across rye country, and for their skefkess services to the growth of the country in spite of the unfriendly working environment they faced.

He stated: “As the world marks another International Labour Day, we the members of the Aviary Association Worldwide join the entire world in celebrating and congratulating the working men and women of the world’s workforce, especially the Nigeria Labour Congress as well as all men and women who work in various fields contributing their quota to nation building.

“We pay homage to the hardwork, commitment and sacrifice, the Nigerian working class who despite all obstacles have continually through their sweat, though not properly remunerated have shown the willingness and an undying commitment to building the Nigeria of our dreams.

“The government should endeavour to pay all civil servants their salaries as at when due and ensure all deductions and arrears are cleared.

“The Aviary Association Worldwide also commends and salute your efforts and will stand shoulder to shoulder with you in these unprecedented times in our journey as a nation to build a new Nigeria for ourselves and generations unborn.”
