Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma has emerged winner of the maiden edition of Chief Percy Okojie Moot Court Competition held on Saturday in Benin-City.
The competition for Law Faculty students from universities in Edo State was organised as part of activities to mark the Diamond Jubilee anniversary of Chief Okojie, the Ebojieta of Ohordua.
Chief Okojie as a renowned property lawyer, the moot court competition focused on Commercial Law, and it was organised by Policy and Law Reform Centre in his office.
At the end of the one day event held at conference room, Percy Okojie and Company Corporate Office, Benin-City, AAU featured 13 law students poled 700 points out of 800 points to win the competition.
Also, University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin-City that featured four students gathered a total of 663 points to placed second behind the Edo State owned university.
However, certificates of participation were presented to all the contestants while prizes were awarded to winner and runner-up institutions respectively.
