As the League Management Company (LMC) beamed its searchlight on 3SC of Ibadan over act of hooliganism and insecurity at the Adamasingba stadium, sports writers have been urged to stay away from the match venue.
It could be recalled that LMC had ordered that all the Oluyole Warlord remaining home matches are to be played behind closed doors, due to ugly incident which happened at the club’s last home match.
This warning was stated in a press statement by Niyi Alebiosu, Chairman, Sports Writes Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Oyo State chapter, and made available to Newsnigeriaonline.com.ng on Sunday.
Alebiosu in the release noted that the warning became necessary as he would not want any of his members and colleagues to be molested. “So, let’s follow this instruction, stay away from today’s game.”
He said: “As we are all aware, LMC has ordered that all the remaining home games of 3SC be played behind closed doors, due to ugly incident which happened at the club’s last home match.
“Consequently, today’s match against Plateau United will be strictly without spectators and this include the media.
“Therefore, I will implore all of us to stay away from the match venue for security reasons.
“And also, I will not want any of my members and colleagues to be molested. So, let’s follow this instruction: stay away from today’s game
“The LMC has beamed its search light on 3SC and if any mistake is made now, the club will be banished from Ibadan.
