
University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Golf Club course will play host to golfers today for the 2nd edition of Pat Onegbedan Memorial Golf kitty.
Some of the golfers who arrived the ancient city yesterday for today’s tee-off had their practice session to have the feel of the golf course that has gradually becoming the toast of golfers in the south-south zone.
Draws for golfers numbering about a hundred featuring in the kitty was made just as the event tee-off from 7:30 am through 12pm while the presentation holds in the evening.
The kitty is being sponsored by the Onegbedan family in memory of their late father who until his death on August 4th, 2019 was an avid golfer in the club and a distinguished lawyer who attained the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
UBTH Captain, Hon. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen has promised all golfers a great time and a wonderful golfing experience at the club.
Similarly, Mr. Aluya Onegbedan, son of the late Senior Advocate noted that the event was a noble way to mark the life and times of his late father.
Meanwhile, golfers teeing-off at the one day kitty are from Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS); Ogunu Golf Resort, Warri; Ibori Golf and Country Club (IGCC), Asaba; Port-Harcourt Golf Club and host of others.
