2023: Give Youths A Chance To Govern Delta State- Oruarefe


An Effurun-based business mogul, Mr Sunday Oruarefe has posited that youths should be given a chance to govern at the state and federal levels of governments in 2023.

Oruarefe, a youth and politician, who hails from Ekakpamre, Ughelli North Local Government Area, stated this while declaring his intention to contest for the number one political seat in Delta State in 2023.

He noted that youth was the gap between children and old people and therefore was better place to govern.

Oruarefe noted that most performing local government councils’ chairmen in Delta State were youths, citing also the President of France, Emmanuel Macron as a good example of youth leadership in democracy

“Macron is one of the best presidents of a country in the World today. He was elected into office at a very youthful age,” Oruarefe posited.

Oruarefe who disclosed that he was gunning for the 2023 Delta State seat under the Delta State ruling political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because according to him, the PDP was a people-oriented party which he said has brought dividends of democracy to Nigerians more than any other political party in Nigeria.

“It is the only tested and trusted political party in Nigeria,” he added.

While applauding Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State for his developmental strides in the state, he explained further that he was gunning for the governorship seat to improve on the achievements of the present governor.

Oruarefe also disclosed that he had embarked on empowerment programmes for youths through his foundation long before declaring his intention to contest for the 2023 Delta State governorship.

He assured that he would also establish robust welfare packages for the aged and widows if given the mandate to govern the state in 2023.

Oruarefe therefore appealed to the PDP Delta State members and Deltans to support his political ambition come 2023, assuring that they would have cause to rejoice.
